At this time, we would like to give you an update on our company's effort in response to the growing Coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns. We have taken the following steps to ensure we remain fully operational:
We have updated and tested our business continuity, and disaster recovery plans to ensure it is business as usual for you in the event of an emergency;
We have been in close contact with our key partners regarding their business continuity efforts and disaster recovery programs;
We have reviewed and tested our employees' ability to work from home, across all departments and functions and starting today 18th March 2020 until the 31st of March 2020, all our employees will work from home;
We are following the guidance of the Government, Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention and the World Health Organization (WHO) policies.
From the trading perspective, due to high volatility and uncertainty in the financial markets, we strongly recommend keeping additional funds in your accounts. Some instruments may open with gaps or undergo significant moves during the day. Such sharp movements and widened spreads could trigger the closure of open positions in case of a low margin on the account. Stop out levels will be assessed as well.
We will be deploying re-assessments of margin requirements more frequently and in some cases, on an intraday basis. Clients with positions having exposure to significant moves in all asset classes may expect higher capital requirements on short notice. They should consider managing their risk and capital positions in their accounts to anticipate such changes.
Kindly note that with changed working hours and possible closures of banks, money transfer can take longer than usual, which may cause the account getting stopped, to avoid that we encourage you to keep additional funds.
