Following last week's alleged Israeli strike on Iranian military commanders in Syria, markets were rattled by reports of a potential imminent Iranian retaliation against Israel. These rumors intensified geopolitical concerns and sparked risk aversion late on Friday. Investors, wary of the potential for market gaps at Monday's opening if an attack occurred, moved to minimize risks. This led to a broad sell-off across all asset classes, including currencies, indices, commodities, cryptocurrencies, and even gold.

Conversely, if Israel opts to retaliate, it could trigger a wider conflict in the Middle East.
